augustus-data software package provides data files for AUGUSTUS, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install augustus-data
augustus-data is installed in your system.
Make ensure the augustus-data package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep augustus-data *
You will get with augustus-data package name, version, architecture and description in a table
